This shoot went exactly according to plan. Luckily, Tijuana in late summer gives you soft, forgiving sun in the afternoon, and we had built the entire session around the Golden Hour in the afternoon.
Parque Hacienda Aguacaliente was the perfect stage for a 15-year celebration for a striking beauty, in a beautiful tulle dress with exquisite beading. There is a reason why every photographer in Tijuana knows this park. They return to it again and again.
Broad walkways that let a full skirt move, old hacienda-style walls with warm plaster and deep archways, and stands of trees that break the sun into dappled gold. It feels established, a little romantic, and completely unbothered by the camera.
We began under the arches, where the shade made Darinka laugh instead of squint. After twenty minutes she forgot the lens existed and really let her smile shine.
Sessions like this are why the work matters. Not the poses but the proof that this day existed, exactly as golden as it felt.
